A cute local place in a cute corner of town
Cute warm Quebec French style small restaurant. Good vibe and food
Good stop to eat healthy food. Small but cosy. Hidden from the tourist area. The best choice!
Lovely small cafe with great food and friendly staff. The Quiche Lorraine was delicious, and the coffee pretty good.
Small restaurant, which is neatly tucked away from the tourists. The food was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They only had the french onion soup and no other soup was available.
Liked the duck salad and onion soup. The bison pie was quite bland. Good value for money.
Great time..a must stop location
Fantastic cafe. Great hot chocolate.
Food quality is fantastic! Very comfortable environment and friendly staff. Quiche was cooked to perfection. Coffees are well made.
The "Quiche lorraine" was one of the best quiche I have ever tasted. The service was good and the staff spoke English.
Small local cafe with croissants, baguettes and good coffee. The staff is super friendly and service was excellent. In addition, they have bilingual staff (English and French). Stop by while walking around old Quebec for a quick bite and a coffee to keep you going.
Really nice, Chez Temporal feels like a neighborhood place, friendly and cozy and intimate. Just one block away is touristy and crowded. Food was really good, service was really good, place is very nice and a pretty good value price-wise.
Fantastic. True taste of Quebec atmosphere that has not changed in many years.
A first visit in more than 30 years since I moved back to this town not long ago. A few cosmetic changesinside but the croissants, the chocolate croissants and coffee bowl, the smells from the kitchen and the French bgm brought me back to my student days in the early 1980's .One place to be glad that some things never change!
Good food and good staff! The place is so cute and warm, we would go there again :)
Food was simple, fresh, and delicious! Staff was very friendly. Lovely environment that was casual and cozy, and full of character. Would wholeheartedly recommend, especially if you want to eat somewhere off the main tourist path.
Great food in a cozy cafe setting.
Intimate atmosphere. Good sandwiches. Nice people.
This place came up during a search of recommend coffee spots. Turns out it's also a nice cafe for a drink and a snack. Local feel on a quite street in the old city. Our half hour there was a very pleasant break.
Best croissant in Quebec City! Off the main tourist drag so you get a true old Quebec feeling.
Great eatery for authentic French Canadian food at a good price. I wasn't totally sure what I was getting from the menu, but I'm glad I ordered what I did since it was delicious.
Found this place by chance and we absolutely loved it! Such a nice spot away from the busy Main Street. Service is great and the food was delicious. Perfect place to grab a coffee/lunch and read a book.
Delicious food, not as expensive as other places, but slightly small portions
Delicious food!
I had the asparagus baguette and it was delicious. A simple French meal with friendly staff and beautiful decor. Plus it's off the main street which makes it great for a quiet afternoon meal and a lot more authentic than the tourist spots on the main strip.
We had the onion soup, the croûton special, and the margarita pizza. Everything was delicious. The bread was toasted to a fantastic consistency, the tomatoes tasted fresh, and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. I don't even like onions, but I enjoyed the soup. The owner was very supportive of my attempt to order in French, too. When we mentioned that we were Korean, he struck up a nice conversation about his travels. If I didn't live so far away, I would absolutely return regularly.
Great little find! Hearty, French-Canadian food. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.
I had a delicious duck confit salad, and my sister had a tasty baguette with chevre cheese, tomatoes, walnuts, lettuce and onions. A Boreal beer was a good pairing. All that for a very reasonable price. There appeared to be a mixture of mostly locals and some tourists in this quaint, small restaurant on a quiet side-street. Nice old photos adorned the walls. Service was very efficient but somewhat impersonal.
A wonderful gem just a block off the Main Street. You can’t go wrong with the delicious food and drinks. Wonderful vibe here.
Delicious Quiche Lorraine and Cafe Au lait with Chantilly cream. Very nice ambience.
This is the best place to go for a quiet, authentic light meal away from all the tourists, whether for lunch or dinner. Pricing is perfect, service is excellent, and most importantly the food was delicious!
Chez Temporel is off the beaten path, however food is top notch. Definitely worth a visit. The staff are amazing and food came out very quick.
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. This cute little restaurant is slightly off the beaten path, which only adds to its charm. It offered a great hideout from the tourist crowds. Don’t miss the festín chèvre! It was fantastic!
My favourite Quebec City cafe from my time living here on early 1990s and every time I return. A lovely late breakfast of croissant with melted Swiss and big bol of cafe au lait. Consistently terrific food and pleasant service. Close to all the sites but tucked away so you feel like a local or a pioneer.
This place is a jewel. Visit it on the afternoon and grab a sausage sandwich. Finish it in style with an order of carrot cake or apple pie. Everything is so terribly delicious! The ambiance of this place is soothing and welcoming. By far the best little cafe in Quebec city.
Chez Temporel is one of the oldest existing cafés in Quebec City. The service was friendly and efficient. The food is of great quality. The atmosphere is authentically quebecois. I recommend this place to all! Hit up a restaurant that is not touristy, this is the one!
Simple, perfectly executed food. Cheap, great wine and craft beer and awesome bilingual staff. You should come here.
Cozy, relaxed, and delicious. The host/server during my visit spoke English well and French. The croutons special was delicious. Baguette topped with onions, cheese, and tomatoes with a small salad. It was perfect!
Great food and ambience for brunch! Relatively inexpensive as well! Suggest getting the Croque spécial which was also recommended by the Chef, really light and crisp but full of flavour, especially with the Swiss cheese which was toasted to perfection! The bison pie didn’t have anything particularly special about it, but was pleasant overall!
Onion soup and quiche were great, as well as service. It feels French here:)
Great Food! Would definitely recommend!
One of the best places in the city. A closer kept secret- a place where all the locales go. Delicious pizzas, great coffees and the ever famous, croque monsieur. Peaceful place to go and relax. Great staff and service. Cute atmosphere. Highly recommend this place! 10/10
We went there for a late breakfast on a very cold day. Coffee and food were scrumptious. Very cosy place.
Cozy local cafe and restaurant. Staff was friendly and I had amazing HOT chocolate here! The Real choco in it. 맛있다. 핫초코... 추운날은 핫초코지~
This place is really cute. Makes for some really good looking photos. The waitress was more than happy to take a couple of pictures for us. The service was good. The food was quite tasty as well. We got the pizza and the baguette that was essentially turned into a sausage pizza. I forget exactly what it was called. They do a really good job of making the spices bring out great flavors. Free wifi as well, which is really nice, and the second story has some really cool views
Small place hidden away in old Quebec City. A must go for French onion soup.
Once you discovered Chez Temporel... You will understand.... Its not for everybody but when you come in ... You already feel home...
Great lemonade and carrot cake. Very friendly staff. Nice and quiet a bit away from most of the tourists. We would come back.
Reasonable price, good taste and happy smile service.
I had a delicious duck confit salad, and my friend had a tasty baguette with chevre cheese, tomatoes, walnuts, lettuce and onions. A Boreal beer was a good pairing.
